Responsibilities:
As one of the Senior Primary Electrical Design Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, reliable, sustainable, and affordable network for our customers by leveraging your expert engineering and technical skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and manage project design and engineering scoping, ensuring design outcomes align with client briefs.
- Develop, undertake and coordinate detailed electrical designs for substation high voltage and associated auxiliary systems, to ensure they meet time, cost, and quality constraints in compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements.
- Undertake site inspections to resolve detailed project scope and confirm existing AsBuilt Drawings as required.
- Perform the role of Design Manager as part of project teams for assigned projects, guiding multidiscipline teams to deliver detailed and coordinated design packages to agreed delivery milestones.
- Coordination and technical review of designs from external consultants.
- Undertake inspection of civil and electrical works, recognising and documenting defects and proposing remediations as required.
- Provide ongoing technical support to Ausgrid Clerk of Works and Ausgrid Project Managers during the construction phase of substation projects and continue to assist field staff during the electrical fit out stage followed by AsBuilt Drawings.
