Responsibilities:

  • Join a team of around ten electronics engineers developing the DragonFire beam-director electronic hardware.
  • Develop new DragonFire electronics through the full design lifecycle; from requirements analysis; concept development through design, build and test; to system integration; and lastly to acceptance test and delivery to the customer.
  • You will work closely with Software, Firmware, Mechanical and Systems engineers to solve real integration problems on test systems.
  • You will receive technical and personal developmental support from recognised industry experts in the fields on electro-optics and defence avionics.
  • You will have ownership of assigned electronics work packages, planning your work and reporting progress to your team lead.
  • Training will be delivered via a combination of on-the-job experience working alongside subject matter experts with many decades of experience, plus additional formal technical training delivered via taught courses depending on the business needs.
