Description:
The role Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel your role will deliver high-quality, specialist, and timely legal services across the Department in the focus area for this recruitment, offering a strong understanding of the legislative and other legal and policy frameworks for public healthcare in Queensland.
The successful person
YOU WILL HAVE DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE:
- Working collaboratively with clients and collegiately with other lawyers (including briefing external lawyers), within client agreed time frames to provide authoritative legal advice an direction.
- Leading and/or mentoring a team of lawyers.
- Communicating effectively, clearly and succinctly with a diverse client group with legal accuracy and a practical, fit for purpose, customer focus.
Responsibilities:
- A Bachelor of Laws degree and admission, or eligibility for immediate admission, as a barrister, solicitor or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
- Minimum 8 years post admission experience in property and/or construction law, as further specified in the Role Description.
