Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Power Systems team has extensive experience working on both large and small generator connections across the NEM, WEM, and the greater Asia-Pacific region. We are currently engaged in projects involving solar, BESS, offshore wind, hydrogen electrolyser plants, and sub-sea cable connections. Additionally, we have recently worked on synchronous technologies, including waste-to-energy projects. In this role, you will provide power system studies services to renewable developers, network service providers and other external clients, as well as our own Networks, Renewables, Hydro, Mining & Industry, and Energy Advisory market sectors.
We’re excited to expand the Power Systems team in Australia to support the energy transition both locally and globally, and seeking a Power Systems Engineer to establish and foster long-term positive client relationships with our Australian and broader APNA energy clients. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

You will be involved in a range of delivery functions, including performing complex power system analysis and design tasks, such as load flow and fault level studies, power quality assessments, and stability and transient analysis. You will work collaboratively with our leaders to bring the right mix of resources to deliver excellence for our clients. As a senior member of the team, you will focus on improving project outcomes for both your clients and our projects.

  • Conduct design and analysis of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in project meetings to discuss progress and technical challenges.
  • Conduct technical reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies in all engineering tasks.
  • Manage initiatives in improvement of project execution processes, methodologies and task automation.
  • Manage small project teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
