Responsibilities:

As a Senior Principal Engineer at ATPCO, you will provide technical leadership while also being hands-on in guiding complex projects. You’ll be responsible for aligning our technology strategy with business goals, overseeing large-scale initiatives, and driving innovation. Your role will involve actively contributing to projects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing guidance on complex technical challenges and promoting best practices.
  • Ensure that the systems you manage comply ATPCO engineering best practices and governance models, including security, operations, and enterprise architecture requirements.
  • Inform and guide business stakeholders on the cost and implications of technical/infrastructure solutions.
  • Anticipate and resolve technical issues, manage risks, and develop strategies to address complex, organization-wide challenges.
  • Architectural Design and Quality Assurance:
  • Lead the design and execution of large-scale systems, leveraging in-depth knowledge of architectural patterns and best practices to ensure they meet high standards of performance, scalability, and quality.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for code review and technical deliverables, ensuring all artifacts are complete and properly managed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Delivery
  • Collaborate with Product leadership and define the long-term technical roadmap for the product line, aligning with business strategy and vision.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, aligning technical and business goals across teams and departments.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose feasible solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead research into new technologies and methodologies, proposing solutions that address complex challenges and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Advocate for organization-wide process improvements and new methodologies, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.

Salary Range: CAD $210,000 to 262,000
