Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Private Equity Accountant in San Francisco, California. This role primarily involves operational accounting tasks and handling historical reconciliations within the Private Equity industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting operational accounting tasks for private equity funds
  • Handling historical reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrating familiarity with private equity fund structures for efficient processing
  • Using accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, and QuickBooks Pro for various accounting functions
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Performing auditing tasks as required
  • Utilizing skills in private equity and private equity fund accounting
  • Applying CPA skills where necessary in the execution of duties
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed with high attention to detail.
  • Possess 5 or more years of experience in a relevant accounting role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accounting functions
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Familiarity with auditing procedures and practices
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, QuickBooks Pro, and Quickbooks ProAdvisor
  • Experience in Private Equity and Private Equity Fund accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
  • Familiarity with Fund Accounting
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
