Description:
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Private Equity Accountant in San Francisco, California. This role primarily involves operational accounting tasks and handling historical reconciliations within the Private Equity industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting operational accounting tasks for private equity funds
- Handling historical reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency
- Demonstrating familiarity with private equity fund structures for efficient processing
- Using accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, and QuickBooks Pro for various accounting functions
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Performing auditing tasks as required
- Utilizing skills in private equity and private equity fund accounting
- Applying CPA skills where necessary in the execution of duties
- Ensuring all tasks are completed with high attention to detail.
- Possess 5 or more years of experience in a relevant accounting role
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with auditing procedures and practices
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, QuickBooks Pro, and Quickbooks ProAdvisor
- Experience in Private Equity and Private Equity Fund accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
- Familiarity with Fund Accounting
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
