JOB INTRODUCTION

• Actively recommend and support safety improvements • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and commissioning • Optimizing existing processes and provide technical support to site operations

IDEALLY, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Metallurgical, Process or Chemical Engineering or a similar related field, preferably experienced in mine sites or mineral processing plants
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in optimizing plant and processes
• Process control understanding and implementation
• Experience in material handling and mineral processing.

This role reports to the Production Manager to help develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and commissioning. This role helps to optimizing existing processes and provide technical support to site operations & to provide support to APAC Process team for capital projects in Rio Tuba

Key focus areas the role will include:

• Designing, running, testing, and upgrading plant and processes
• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret trends and data
• Develop best practices routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Perform basic process simulations
• Manage cost and time constraints
• Perform risk assessments
• Generate Process Flow diagrams, P&ID, functional specifications, and control narratives
• Conduct process audits and generate audit reports
• Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions
• Work in conjunction with all plant, engineering disciplines, maintenance, sales, and EPC to support new projects and products including equipment specification and selection, plant layout and development of scope of works
• Develop and implement metrics to monitor and improve performance of process plants
• Investigate and troubleshoot problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations
• Schedule regular collaborative discussions with APAC Process team to review existing performance and new developments and technologies
