To support our success and recent growth, Sedgman is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to join our team based in Brisbane.
The key objective of this role is to manage the procurement functions of this regional office as well as advise and facilitate the most efficient acquisition of subcontractor supply at feasibility, tenders and during project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing procurement processes, resourcing appropriate teams for a project, and prepare plans to meet project expectations
  • Managing the procurement processes in accordance with current policies, maximise commercial benefit to the project and ensure deliverables are on schedule
  • Manage interfaces with the engineering/technical team, commercial/legal team, and interactions with suppliers/subcontractors
  • Conforming contracts, provide advice on drafting of special conditions and liaising with legal on preferred subcontract provisions to achieve best for project outcome
  • Manage subcontract packages to ensure project expectations are met, including, transport and logistics functions, assistance with vendor data expediting, review of progress reports, generation of approved contract variations and review and approval of payment claims.
  • Pro-active reporting to Study Managers (for feasibility studies), Project Managers (for project execution) and technical colleaguesAttend weekly resourcing meetings with other departments to ensure pipeline works are sufficiently supported with procurement needs
