DISCIPLINE SUMMARY

  • Acts as an advisory point of contact to guide and support assigned business units to meet procurement requirements (e.g. policies, procedures, sourcing strategies, etc.) and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with assigned business units to develop annual procurement forecasts/plans.
  • Evaluates, continuously supports and contributes to the development of innovative sourcing strategies and procurement transformation strategies that drive continuous improvement and client value.
  • Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, technologies, supplies.
  • Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements.
  • Develops, negotiates and administers contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.
  • Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Seeks proactive resolution of contractual disputes and manages variations and claims in collaboration with business units.
  • Processes amendments to contract terms or contract extensions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the structuring of new formal and informal competitive procurement processes.
  • Applies critical and strategic thinking in the identification, definition and modification of RFP’s/PRP’s/QP’s/RFQ’s/RFT’s.
  • Independently advises clients throughout the entire acquisition process on procurement strategies, procedural issues, legislative regulations and industry guidelines and best practices.
  • Translates client’s complex requirements into statements of work, deliverables, or other industry norms.
  • Collaborates with assigned business units to provide expert Procurement advice and guidance and independently develops annual procurement forecasts/plans.
  • Responsible for documenting the entire acquisition process and/or competitive procurement process and ensures for audit purposes the proper recording of all facets of the undertaking.
