Description:

The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing all aspects of procurement activities for the restaurant. This role involves sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Restaurant Procurement Executive will collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to meet the restaurant’s procurement needs and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify cost saving opportunities that will enhance the profitability of the company.
  • Develop and build relationships with existing suppliers and create relationships with new suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance of established purchasing policies and procedures. Conduct ongoing reviews of same and implement continuous improvements where required.
  • Supplier reviews and audits.
  • Effectively engage with outlet operations and finance to ensure processes and controls are understood and best practices adhered to. Implement training programmes where necessary.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure a smooth workflow within the procure to pay process and lead process and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Consult / work with other senior managers on specific initiatives as required and undertake any other duties as requested by the senior management.
  • Conducting regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Review existing suppliers for all outlets and align the offer to maximise the price levels set for large volume items.
  • Forecast needs and supplies
  • Sourcing and evaluating suppliers to secure competitive bids for products and services.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to obtain favourable terms and conditions.
  • Managing the procurement process, from purchase requisition to delivery and payment.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, inventory, and supplier information.
  • Conducting regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Manage inventory.
  • Collect and analyse data to ensure the company is making the best decisions
  • Keep accurate records of transactions, trends, and performance with vendors.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in restaurant procurement or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure cost-effective deals.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple procurement tasks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software.
