ABOUT YOU

  • 10 + years’ experience in leading or managing a procurement function in a large complex organisation is essential.
  • Experience in a similar role within insurance/financial services/banking is desirable
  • Experience in leading and coaching team members within the Procurement function and build high performing and engaged teams.
  • Advanced ability to collaborate with executive leaders and to influence outcomes.
  • Advanced commercial acumen and high-level negotiation skills.
  • Advanced financial acumen including budgeting, forward analysis, cost modelling and financial management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills

Are you an exceptional leader looking for your next Senior Procurement role? Reporting into the General Manager Workplace Services, we have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join our Workplace Services team at Allianz Australia for a 12 Month contract. This dynamic and innovative role will see you lead & manage the procurement function to ensure efficient operations and delivery of commercially beneficial solutions for AAL.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Define, negotiate and implement strategies to optimise the procurement function across Allianz Australia and deliver cost savings and service/performance benefits.
  • Lead, coach an develop a team of 8 direct reports
  • Manage key and complex contract and business negotiations to ensure favourable commercial and financial conditions for AAL.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of procurement strategy, policy, procedures, cost containment, capability and compliance across AAL and sponsor procurement projects.
  • Manage supplier sourcing and contracting processes across AAL and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accountability, compliance and risk management strategies are in place.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relation to procurement and sourcing to support, challenge and validate business thinking, operations and projects.
