Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE:

To deliver impactful value from the Non-IT Category including but not limited to Facilities Management, Real Estate Projects, General Services, Operations, Marketing, Corporate and Human Resources (c. 1bn AED spend).

  • Implement optimization category management strategies that deliver impactful significant saves (YoY) 50m AED whilst exceeding service, quality and valued investments.
  • To recognize, understand and contribute towards the long-term objectives of ADIB regarding ESG, In-Country Value and Service Excellence.
  • Develop and manage a highly performing team that can multiply value.
  • Deputize for Head of Department in his absence.
  • Engage stakeholders at a Group Head level toKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLEStrategic/Relational:
  • Active engagement in the development and execution of Procurement Strategy 2025-2028.
  • Develop and deploy strategic category management which will provide quantifiable value for ADIB.
  • Ensure maximum value from c. 1bn AED spend under influence within assigned categories.
  • Support the accreditation of Procurement to the Global Standards of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
  • Manage and deliver a professional procurement service, consistently and fairly, in line with the corporate polices and encourage a climate of openness, trust, empowerment, integrity and reliability.
  • Develop or participate in developing procurement policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement on the same.
  • Promote utilizing advanced technology to optimize/automate conduction of procurement activities including spend analytics.
  • Develop or participate in developing departmental staffing plans.
  • Identify and implement category market research plans, demand challenge, vendor base rationalization and supply chain risk management.
  • Implement advanced procurement techniques (time, agility, feasibility, efficiency, effectiveness, and waste-elimination activities).
  • Work closely with different stakeholders to plan, streamline, and enhance process workflows to ensure values for ADIB.
  • Undertake suppliers’ relationship management responsibilities (Contractual, relational and reputational matters) and promote a transparent and ethical procurement approach for ADIB.
  • Conduct benchmarking against best practices, identify gap and make changes to CPD offer to stakeholders.
  • Support the recruitment and retention of Procurement talent

Functional:

  • Leads a complete end to end procurement services for assigned spend categories (Facilities Management, Real Estate, Projects, General Services, Operations, HR, Marketing)
  • Engage with Business Group Heads to ensure understanding and alignment on Roles & Responsibilities and value proposition from Procurement.
  • Mange and facilities best practices in the procurement of services necessary for the effective and efficient operations of ADIB
  • Conduct procurement activities with the highest level of customer services, ethical standards, fairness, transparency and always operate in responsive and responsible way.
  • Develop standardized project procurement strategy for ADIB.Practice in identifying the standardization tender technical evaluation criteria for technical evaluation of consultants and contractors.
  • Review and manage Tenders/RFPs.
  • Support the category buyers in high-risk-value procurement engagement (strategy planning, negotiations, risk management, etc.)
  • Report administrative, contractual, and tender risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of update records of tendering for future references and decision making.
  • Coordinate Audit requirements, discuss findings and implement agreed solutions.

SPECIALIST SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Minimum - bachelor’sdegree in engineering or equivalent degree/master’s is plus.
  • CIPS/equivalent accreditation
  • Project Management accreditation
  • Business Arabic and English-verbal and written
