Summary:
We are currently seeking a new Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design team on a 12 month contract (mat leave coverage) to work within the Financial Performance portfolio. This portfolio is focused on how our customers bill for their work, collect on invoices, reconcile their books and report on and grow their firm’s financial health. This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec.

- Work as part of a cross functional unit (triad), alongside product management and engineering
- Join a diversely skilled design team using modern design tools
- Advocate for our customers by knowing them and their needs inside out
- Concept, prototype, design and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes
- Coach and mentor designers on a range of design practices
- Create sketches, flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups of features serving different user segments
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and analysis
- Use and leverage metrics to drive product design and measure product success
What you bring:
- Excellent communication skills, both synchronously and asynchronously.
- Experience as a product designer. SaaS experience is a bonus
- Personal or professional knowledge about the financial services and/or fintech industry. If you know what ‘rails’ do and what a general ledger is, we want to talk to you!
- A portfolio showing UX problem solving and thoughtful, user-centered UI design
- Exceptional UI design skills with a strong understanding of how to both use and contribute to design systems
- Experience with modern design tools (Figma) and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed
- Ability to separate noise from signal in usability testing and be able to quickly iterate on UI concepts and drive alignment on direction forward
- A design degree or relevant experience with platform and/or application design
- Strategies to quickly ramp up on new domains specifically in legal
- Humility plus strong opinions that are loosely held
