Hopewell Residential, a premier home builder and community developer in Alberta for over three decades, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Development Technologist to enhance our team. Immerse yourself in a role where your designs become the foundation of homes and neighbourhoods that bring people together.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate AutoCAD-based stock plans from concept design sketches and facilitate the review process
  • Design, develop, or enhance elevations for new or existing models and/or communities
  • Maintain and update stock plan templates for the production drafting department
  • Liaise with external stakeholders through industry sub-council meetings
  • Produce & maintain construction plan details as necessary to meet both land use bylaw and code requirements.
  • Participate in framing/rough-in walkthroughs
  • Lead and direct special projects to support competitiveness such as sustainability and technology
  • Develop or maintain policy and procedure documents specific to Product Development
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for new community (or new phase), lot selection strategy and fitment matrixes
  • Create plot plans, siting the home in relation to the street scape and grading the home as per community guidelines
  • Occasionally complete drafting of customer files, spec homes, show home parades and sales centres for single family projects as per the contract and within the constraints of building codes and municipal bylaws
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
