Are you a Product Owner looking for a new challenge?
In this role, you will join our Data Platforms team that is responsible for the stewardship of Kiwibank’s Modern Data Stack to deliver excellent experiences for our staff and customers.
You will be a member of the squad ensuring the product development is aligned with organisation objectives.

Day to day this could include:

  • Providing direction by translating business requirements into user stories, refining those user stories, and developing story maps, and breaking down work into small chunks to deliver and unlock value early. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high-quality backlog, working with platform/product manager to develop and define roadmaps, & defining metrics to support decisions.
  • Exhibiting leadership by clearly articulating the ‘why’ of prioritised work, and how this will achieve measurable progress towards objectives.
  • Squad leadership - Bring transparency and visibility from squads - using metrics for performance, velocity etc
  • Contributing to quarterly planning activities by performing discovery and refinement on epics.
  • Facilitating and steering best practises of agile including ceremonies
  • Vendor management - support the platforms manager in the vendor management lifecycle (commercials, contracts, process etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to think strategically and at a detailed level to cope with business and technology complexity.
  • An agile mindset – adaptable to change, collaboration and continuous delivery of business and customer value
  • Business analysis and product development life cycle experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation.
  • Solid understanding and experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experienced with large and complex modern cloud-based enterprise systems/platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience in Banking and Finance industry is advantageou
