About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager in our Consumer Cards team, you’ll play a key role in helping design, build and sustainably grow our consumer cards offering. The Senior Product Manager – Consumer Cards is a crucial role for Consumer Cards and Personal Loans (CCPL) business, supporting the growth and development of CCPL, Everyday Banking and Retail Products across Australia, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
Supporting the Head of Product – Consumer Cards, the Senior Product Manager will be required to provide strategic direction to the product roadmap, grow and manage financial performance and drive key initiatives - collaborating closely with internal teams and key stakeholders to execute on strategic & tactical priorities.

What will your day look like?

Responsibilities:

Build, lead and develop a high performing team culture to deliver KPI’s and revenue targets for the CCPL business.
Provide leadership in guiding cross functional teams and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve product objectives.
Understand performance of current products, manage product P&L performance to collaborate with key stakeholders on developing initiatives to improve overall profitability.
Monitor market trends for the development of new products, features and benefits (considering the competitive context, strategic capabilities, customer desirability and the ability to execute strongly driving long-term, sustainable growth).
Key responsibility for developing both short and long-term product plans, value propositions including customer journeys, pricing models, partner agreements and product roadmaps.
Identify, evaluate and prioritize business cases for new business and product opportunities, and build business models to deliver sustainable business growth.
Track, monitor and work with value stream partners to deliver against financial results set in annual operating plans and objectives.
Manage and coordinate with all stakeholders in the development and timely delivery of agreed product roadmaps.
Be a champion for voice of customer to deliver customer value.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
5+ years in a product and portfolio management role, preferably with a strong focus on credit card products
Part experience in managing an entire product lifecycle from concept to launch & end of life, ensuring timely execution and continuous improvement.
Strong leadership experience in guiding cross functional teams and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve product objectives.
Ability to Identify challenges & roadblocks, developing creative solutions to mitigate risks to keep product development on track.
Strong business acumen, critical thinking and thought leadership that delivers solution-oriented results to consumers
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, capable of using market research and customer insights to drive product enhancements.
Strong relationship building skills and be able to work in cross functional teams to embed quality outcomes
Demonstrated experience working closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally (boards and regulators)
Effective communicator, effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to success
