Description
The Precision Health Platform is at the core of research and care: it underpins software to support clinical research studies and registries, Verily’s virtual care management products, and digital biomarkers. Based on Cloud architecture and FHIR, the platform comprises foundational services to accelerate the development and connection of our products. This enables the Verily research and care products to be interoperable, consistent, and allows us to launch to market faster with greater impact.
The Data Governance Product Manager will be responsible for data governance across the Precision Health Platform, including data stored in FHIR and other healthcare data modalities. They will shape the data governance strategy for Verily, and own the roadmap for data governance features with the platform. In this role, they will work closely with legal and privacy teams to define governance requirements, and with engineering and data science to develop product features and capabilities that address specific data governance challenges with healthcare data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance product strategy aligned with the organization’s overall data management and business objectives.
  • Define product requirements, use cases, and success metrics for data governance solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operational teams teams to translate product requirements into functional specifications and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of data governance solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures while staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting data governance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and 5+ years in product management or a related technical role.
  • Experience developing products in the data governance space, with a deep understanding of data governance principles, frameworks and technologies.
  • Experience driving successful implementation and delivery of initiatives that span multiple development teams in an agile environment.
  • Understanding of how product requirements are affected by applicable healthcare and clinical regulations, best practices in accessibility, and enterprise security & privacy considerations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including subject matters experts in the Legal, Privacy, Security, and Quality teams, as well as operational teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills across a wide range of audiences and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with enterprise/B2B product management.
  • Experience building on FHIR and familiarity with FHIR IGs.
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, clinical trials, health research, or similar industries.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000 - $184,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
