Description:
ABOUT US:
HBS Systems has been a trusted leader for over 40 years in providing comprehensive Dealership Management Systems (DMS) for the heavy equipment and agriculture industries. Our web-based, cloud-native product streamlines dealership operations by managing everything from sales and service to inventory and customer relationships. As we continue to evolve, we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to help drive the future of our product and deliver unmatched value to our customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategic direction and execution of our cloud-based Dealership Management System (DMS). In this role, you will work closely with our engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to define and deliver product enhancements that address the unique needs of dealership operations.
As the first product manager on the team, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape product priorities, define best practices, and help establish the product management function at HBS Systems. While experience in the heavy equipment or agriculture industries is a plus, we prioritize strong product management skills and experience with cloud-based solutions. Your expertise in defining product strategy, managing product roadmaps, and driving cross-functional execution will be critical to our product’s future success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven track record of defining and executing product strategies for cloud-based or SaaS products.
- Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to deliver customer-driven product updates.
- Familiarity with agile product development processes and customer-centric product management practices.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience using analytics tools to inform decisions and measure product success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software products is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dealership operations (sales, service, inventory management, CRM) is a plus but not required.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant product management, business, or technical certifications (e.g., CSPO, CSM) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the product strategy and vision for our cloud-based DMS, ensuring it supports and enhances dealership operations.
- Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features that address short-term customer needs and long-term strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, and sales) to deliver high-quality product updates and new features.
- Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring regular customer feedback, validation, and iterative improvements.
- Define and track key product metrics (e.g., user adoption, customer satisfaction, product performance) to guide decision-making and measure success.
- Act as the voice of the customer by staying up-to-date with customer needs and market feedback to guide product enhancements.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure effective product positioning, training, and customer communication.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to gather valuable insights and ensure our product meets customer needs.
- Lay the groundwork for building a product team, acting as a mentor and leader for future product hires.
