JOB TITLE: Senior Product Owner - Segments & Propositions
LOCATION: London or Bristol
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of our office hubs mentioned above
About this opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our brand-new Segments & Propositions platform. This role will lead the design, shaping, and execution of the features and experiences LBG will offer customers to support customers.
Segments & Propositions is a newly formed Platform supporting the Customer Proposition and Mass Affluent business. Both Mass Affluent and Customer Propositions sit centrally to the Group’s strategy, with a clear purpose to fix, improve, and create new solutions for our customers. To do this, we need to think and work differently. Bringing together multiple tools, features, products, and journeys to help solve the highest priority customer jobs and achieve outstanding customer experiences and outcomes.
As a senior product owner you’ll create and own the product vision for helping customers to manage their money. You’ll have the opportunity to lead your team of product owners to bring together a more connected and coherent money management experience which flexes to different customer mental models. You’ll be able to heavily collaborate with the designers and engineers in our Lab to shape and build experiences – seeing your work in your own, and more importantly, our customers’ hands!
You’ll be responsible for a set of tools and experiences such as ‘Benefits finder’, ‘Bill switcher’ or ‘Whole of Bank loyalty’. Your work will involve working closely with other teams in our lab, and our wider platform.
As part of your role you’ll collaborate with Design and Data teams, the Chief Digital Office, as well as business partners, to identify and understand customer problems using a wide range of customer data and research and test and learn activities in order to ideate the best solutions. You’ll also need to work closely with Engineering colleagues to benefit from cloud platform capabilities.
.
About us
Join us and, as well as making a difference to customers, you’ll enjoy an exciting career where you’re free to be yourself. Great colleagues, transforming workspaces, hybrid working and a wide variety of career opportunities – you’ll find them all here.

What you’ll need

  • Accountability for owning the vision for a large and/or complex product following business requirements analysis, balancing the needs of customers, partners and risk
  • Experience in creating and driving inspired product roadmaps based on understanding our customers’ needs, personas, value propositions and customer landscapes
  • Experience leading key partners to prioritise & rationalise the right set of business problems
  • Ability to realise product vision by leading a team to deliver product feature releases which create outstanding customer experiences
  • Strong technical acumen to work closely with Engineers to understand the complexity and technical feasibility of solutions in order to evolve the service over time.
  • Experience in working with technical and cross-functional teams
  • Strong dependency management and effective resolution

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Experience in applying agile methodologies to optimise innovation development and delivery. Significant experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence, and experience of leading & working as part of an agile team
  • Influencing skills across all levels of the organisation using data and insights while empowering your team to deliver maximum value for the customer and business
  • Experience of financial planning and cost control: a track record of delivering within budget and using resources effectively
