Based in our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan location; you will be responsible for Value Streams Assembly and ensure efficiency in the manufacturing process. Process improvement to meet the on-time delivery as well to develop the people within the reporting scope and work closely with the Value Stream Manager and the rest of the management team to make Nilai an effective manufacturing unit to achieved plan goals. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
- Degree / Masters’ or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial field.
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with employees, senior management, and support teams.Analytical in thought process, and problem-solving approach approach in providing solutions
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Drives to achieve the established Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory target.
- Drives production output aligns with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) plan.
- Supports in meeting monthly and annual sales targets for the plant.
- Drives late orders and monitor WIP effectively.
- Make Safety an utmost priority for all employees.
- Maintain production assembly floor a good 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) system in operations areas.
- Identify, plan and growth of assembly team leaders within the organization.
- Drive process quality oriented approach, resulting in high-quality products shipped.
- Identify, plan, and grow assemblers’ skill matrix based to continuously grow assemblers’ capability using training and/or certification programs.
- Identify and develop action for continuous improvement for operating expense annual reduction.
- Lead, guide, and control assembly operations to achieve WIP management, productivity, delivery, quality, and Right First Time (RFT) goals.
- Motivate, empower, and inspire teamwork and clear communication to maintain positivity in workforce.
- Work closely with related sections/departments to create a positive working environment with open communication.
- Develop and maintain improved operating policies and procedures to drive key improvements.
- Demonstrate a strong ethical approach across the workforce.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Minimum 3 years in manufacturing environment in mass production or engineered / make to order high mix low volume plant.
- Experience in managing a group of direct labour in a manufacturing environment, skilled or unskilled labour.
- Exposed to LEAN practices and continuous improvement mentality to make lean manufacturing process.
