Job Description
GENERAL FUNCTION: The Senior Program Director is responsible for the overall management and development of all early learning and special programs in accordance with all Greater Wichita YMCA policies, procedures, and standards. The Senor Program Director is accountable for all aspects of early learning and specialty programs including fiscal management, financial development, staff management and compliance with all childcare regulations. It is expected that an average work week of 50 hours will be necessary to accomplish the assigned duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Program Director is responsible for implementing Association policies and procedures by leading and directing ALL early learning and grant program operations as assigned in the following areas:
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lead and coach teams and individuals and can communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Possess mental alertness, problem solving and task management skills; ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrate a high level of maturity, patience, dependability, and sound judgment.
- Must exhibit initiative in the absence of supervision
- Ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member as well as independently and lead by assigned goals, duties, and deadlines
- Must always present a neat and professional appearance
