SENIOR PROGRAMME MANAGER INTEGRATIONS

Our Technology teams are right at the heart of what we do. Surrounded by some of the best Technology specialists in the industry, you’ll bring your own ideas to the business - helping to shape the experience of our customers as part of a forward-thinking team.
This is a new post and will focus on the continuing evolution of the Digital channel and the Retail ROW BAU delivery. This role presents a great opportunity to be at the centre of the Digital expansion roadmaps as well as being at the centre of innovation and exciting new changes in the Retail domain.
The successful candidate will be able to shape these programmes of work between these 2 domains which represents a key part of the new Channels delivery function,
This post will have a team of project managers working directly for them on each of the sub-initiatives.

As well as having all the base elements detailed in the corresponding JD the candidate for this role should have the below attributes and experience.

  • Experienced in Managing and delivering complex and multiple programmes of work both in the Retail and digital sectors.
  • Used to dealing with Senior Stakeholders across multiple domains of technology.
  • Experienced in understanding the complexities of cross domain programmes of work
  • Able to communicate both in technical and non-technical manner to ensure leadership teams are fully briefed.
  • Experienced in POS delivery and corresponding critical paths.
  • Experience around a Product ways of working delivering to key outcomes.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Provide leadership/guidance to cross-functional teams involved in programme delivery; motivate team members towards achieving project goals while fostering a collaborative work environment. Lead and foster effective communication channels across teams / departments involved in the major projects within the portfolio.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for technology major programmes, aligning them with the organisation’s long-term objectives. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive programme plan, including defining objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Programme Oversight / Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of major technology programmes, from initiation through execution to closure, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. This could be at a portfolio level with multiple accountable delivery teams, or at a programme management level for major complex programmes.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including project managers, technical teams, and budgets, to ensure successful programme delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior executives, to provide regular updates on programme status, risks, and opportunities.

  • 12-15 years of relevant experience in technology and programme management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Extensive experience in technology programme management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent leader and trusted advisor with extensive experience of developing senior business relationships
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project goals while fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality results within defined timelines/budgets
