As the Senior Programme Manager Digital and Retail, you will focus on the continuing evolution of the Digital channel and the Retail ROW BAU delivery.
You will be at the centre of the Digital expansion roadmaps as well as being at the centre of innovation and exciting new changes in the Retail domain.
The successful candidate will be able to shape these programmes of work between these 2 domains which represents a key part of the new Channels delivery function.

Responsibilities:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skill sets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Provide leadership/guidance to cross-functional teams involved in programme delivery; motivate team members towards achieving project goals while creating a collaborative work environment. Build and develop effective communication channels across teams/departments involved in the major projects within the portfolio.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for technology major programmes, aligning them with the organisation’s long-term objectives. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive programme plan, including defining priorities, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Programme Oversight / Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of major technology programmes, from initiation through execution to closure, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. This could be at a portfolio level with multiple accountable delivery teams, or at a programme management level for major complex programmes.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and coordinate resources, including project managers, technical teams, and budgets, to ensure appropriate programme delivery.
  • Risk Management: Proactively, identify potential risks and issues associated with technology programmes and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Monitor and maintain dependencies, ensuring effective coordination between projects to minimise risks and optimise outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • 12-15 years of relevant experience in technology and programme management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Extensive experience in technology programme management, with a proven history of effectively delivering complex projects.
  • Expert leader and trusted advisor with extensive experience in developing senior business relationships
  • Innovative leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project goals while fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • High technical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality results within defined timelines/budgets.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific technologies and trends
