POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Programme Manager, Sponsorship Initiative, leads and oversees the delivery of a portfolio of projects to realise the strategic objectives focused on the new strategic initiative to reinvent sponsorship across the World Vision partnership.
The role is responsible for strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the identified workstreams in the portfolio in alignment with the initiative roadmap and in collaboration with the assigned workstream squads, adopting an agile, human-centred approach. The role will manage the assigned project managers and scrum masters assigned to the workstreams and oversee the definition and delivery of their project plans and deliverables. For large scale projects, the role may also function directly as a project manager, with hands-on project management delivery of programs/projects whilst providing support to executive level stakeholders in additional program/project governance accountabilities.
The scope and stakeholders of this initiative involves numerous functions and teams across the organisation – the field and fundraising offices around the world, and the programming, operations and marketing functions across the local and global teams. The role also serves as a business partner to senior stakeholders and business owners – providing project delivery expertise, direction and support from pre-project conceptualisation through to project completion and global roll-out.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Organise, manage and oversee the project portfolio and successful delivery across identified workstreams, adopt agile approach and ensure tight focus and prioritisation to connect strategy with execution.
  • Assume the role of agile Program/Project Manager where needed to deliver various large-scale projects required to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Manage the governance structure and processes to enable efficient decision making.
  • Manage assigned project managers and scrum masters and oversee the definition and delivery of their project plans and deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Programme/Project Management, or other relevant field (or in any field, with additional training/experience relevant to this role).
  • Project management and agile/scrum master training/certification or proven experience.
  • 10 years of experience in increasingly responsible project management/delivery roles, 5 of which in agile project management.
  • Proven and extensive experience in leading successful delivery of project portfolios.
  • Experience in strategic programme planning, including developing solid programme/project plans, reporting against plans, managing risks/issues, budgets and dependencies.
  • Proven experience in the application of agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, staff and peers across cultures and motivating them to effectively deliver as part of the solution.
  • Experience in successful management and coordination of virtual teams Solution-focused, results-orientated person who is adept in solving problems quickly to deliver on programme quality and timelines and easily adapts to a dynamic environment.
  • Able to understand and synthesize complex concepts and variety of views into simple and actionable visions and roadmaps and into resource and delivery plans.
    For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $ 82894,01 to $ 103617,51 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
