Title: Senior Programme Officer - Youth and Community Cradle to Career
Reports to: Programme Manager
Contract type: Fixed term until 31st March 2026
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
Salary: Grade 4 £28,539 - £30,865 FTE salary, (5% employer pension contribution, Medicash and group life assurance, 27 days annual leave per annum for FTE plus bank holidays)
Location: Liverpool, Hybrid working, with the expectation of at least 1 day a week in the Liverpool office
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE OF THE SENIOR PROGRAMME OFFICER
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with expert organisational and people skills who will be the reliable, positive, “go-to” person for our Services and Community programmes in Northwood (Knowsley) and Halton Lea (Halton), playing a pivotal role in supporting high quality local programme delivery and fostering positive relationships with external partners and agencies.
As a Senior Programme Officer, you will play an integral role in supporting staff in the Northwood and Halton Lea Cradle to Career programme to deliver a high quality programme with maximum impact. This will include a core focus on leading the coordination of the Services and Community strand which includes a youth offer, community projects and supporting a multi-agency support team. There will be additional responsibilities for the delivery of key work streams within the wider Cradle to Career project as and when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The core objectives of the role include, but are not limited to:
Proactively work with the relevant Programme Manager in relation to daily programme delivery tasks
- Create clear, robust programme delivery plans for your strands of the programme
- Ensure plans are regularly monitored and iterated effectively, timely processing of payments and invoices for programme delivery and that all expenses, purchase orders and invoices are up to date
- Support coordination of other strands of Cradle to Career at Manager’s discretion
- Manage email and diaries, scheduling of meetings, booking travel, accommodation
- Ensure robust data management, data input and tracking, ensuring programme data is accurate and up to date
- Attend partner meetings to provide administrative support as required
- Coordinate team including scheduling meetings, maintaining action log and being the first point of contact when core team members are unavailable
- Proactively research, quality assure and compile internal and external reports as require
