Senior Progress OpenEdge Developer

We are seeking an experienced Progress OpenEdge Developer to join the project team.
As a key member of the development team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our suite of applications built upon the Progress OpenEdge technology.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Progress OpenEdge Developer
• Experience in managing and administering Progress databases
• Knowledge of data modeling and schema design
• Database design, optimization, and performance tuning
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress OpenEdge environment
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
• Experience with RedHat Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system management
• Understanding of shell commands, file manipulation, and process control
• Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, develop, and maintain Progress OpenEdge applications in compliance with best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
• Contribute to the upgrade process of the Progress tech stack to the latest version, upgrade of RedHat Linux
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing and deployment preparation
• Work closely with system administrators, database administrators, and other stakeholders to optimize application performance
