Projects include pipelines, roads, bridges, dams, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering the Stapylton Sewerage Network Upgrade project. The project can be summarised as a 15 km pipeline project at the heart of northern Gold Coast. In this role, you’ll help in leading and managing project delivery, ensuring technical excellence and project success.
Working closely with the Civil and Pipelines Project Manager, you’ll oversee complex planning, construction, commissioning, and multi-disciplinary civil works. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a proven track record of planning and managing complex civil and/or pipeline infrastructure projects.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A tertiary degree in either Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
  • RPEQ and/or CPEng (highly desirable).
  • Extensive experience in delivering civil and pipeline projects.
  • Expertise in project cost control, financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Strong skills in construction programming and scheduling to meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • A proactive approach to safety, compliance and fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Ability to work within Abergeldie’s project office and site based office.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Project Manager in planning, programming, procurement and providing technical leadership to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Overseeing project cost forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to ensure financial performance aligns with expectations.
  • Managing procurement and subcontractor’s, coordination, and performance to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Leading quality assurance and control processes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Facilitating the commissioning of systems and equipment, ensuring operational readiness and seamless integration.
  • Working collaboratively with the client and stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and address project requirements.
