POSITION OVERVIEW:

Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a Senior Project Engineer – Facilities to work at our Glenmore Shop (Suite 240, 4000 Glenmore Court SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 5R8). The Senior Project Engineer - Facilities will coordinate detailed engineering, procurement, and fabrication for assigned projects, or project areas. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Project Engineer – As the initial and primary point of contact for Project specific issues related to the Project Engineering and Design Team, the PMT, the Owner and any other documented Project Stakeholders, the Project Engineer is accountable for proactively leading, coordinating and managing the scope of work as defined in the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) and the Project Execution Plan (PEP) to ensure Quality and Cost objectives are met and Schedule slippages are prevented and/or mitigated if necessary.
The Senior Project Engineer – Facilities collaborates with cross-functional teams, including project managers, other, project engineers, engineering teams, and vendors, to ensure seamless integration and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recognized bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical diploma with a mechanical, petroleum, or process bias, along with acceptable experience.
  • Knowledge of typical oil and gas equipment and systems such as Separators, Towers, Storage Tanks/Bullets, Flares, Knockouts, Instrument air, Heat Medium packages, Truck Loading, Pumps, Modularization etc., is an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in the design, engineering, and fabrication of gas processing facilities.
  • P.Eng. (APEGA) or Professional Licensee (Engineering).
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint), strong ability to work well with customers, vendors, designers, and fabrication staff.
  • Good knowledge of ASME/ANSI/API/CSA Codes and ABSA requirements.
