Description:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or equivalent required.
- Preferred: Professional Engineering License in Georgia, Florida, and/or South Carolina
- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow (or equivalent), Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Smartsheets.
- Advanced understanding of site grading, storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater design principles
- Advanced skills in leading the design of civil-site projects with experience in developing grading plans, utilities, hydrology and hydraulics, and roadway design
- Strong desire to learn with an interest in site design/land development
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work independently with little direction as well as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of construction plans and permit submission documents.
- Provide guidance and skill development to less-experienced Project Engineers.
- Develop initial site and grading plans.
- Perform hydraulic analysis and design stormwater management systems.
- Create detailed site grading plans and calculate earthwork.
- Develop erosion and sedimentation control plans.
- Design utility systems, including water and sanitary sewers.
- Create tree management and landscaping plans.
- Work with agency/municipality staff, other engineers, architects, project teams, contractors, and ownership.
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of engineering practices in alignment with the company’s mission statement.
