We currently seeking applications for a Senior Project Engineer to join our South Australia team based out of the Tonsley Innovation District. Reporting to Senior Project Manager/Program Manager, you will successfully and competently deliver complex engineering solutions for projects within requirements, schedule and budget in their area(s) of expertise/ sector.
Key responsibilities
Apply engineering concepts, practices, and theories to design technical solutions.
Understand and develop results that meet the customer’s real needs.
Design and deliver and commission technical solutions that meet the requirements and scope of the project.
Be involved in preparing electrical design, drawings, studies, calculations and documentation to support project teams Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high risk items to management.
Manage costs to deliver the project within budget constraints. Meet the milestones and time constraints of the proposals, maintaining an up-to-date schedule with milestones, work breakdown structure and tasks.
Manage changes to scope and project outcomes, raising cost variations for approval by the customer.
Clearly communicate project objectives, progress and changes to all stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risk, escalating high risk items to management.
Customer relationship management, identifying new opportunities and actively participate in the sales process and development of project bids that best position SAGE to win work.
Provide coaching and mentoring and leadership Engineers and Graduate Engineers and have the ability to lead a technical team Skills and experience Advanced design and delivery expertise in electrical engineering, control systems engineering projects.
Understand of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and Electrical Regulations.
Demonstrable experience integrating legacy systems.
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Project management experience would be desirable, however not essential.
Key requirements
Appropriate Engineering qualifications and relevant industry experience.
Australian drivers licence.
Must have the right to work in Australia.
