Job Description

MISSION

We are looking for a senior project engineer to join our multidisciplinary transport team, responsible for the planning, design, and execution of diverse large-scale projects in the highway engineering, transportation structure, public transit and traffic engineering sectors.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects such as the east end of Montreal’s structuring transportation project, the design-build project for the Contre-Cœur terminal, the Bonaventure Expressway reconfiguration into an urban boulevard project, the Lac-Mégantic rail bypass, the extension and reconfiguration of several road and highway segments and a number of projects specific to the airport, rail, maritime and public transportation markets.
We offer a flexible hybrid work model allowing you to work from home and at one of our offices in the metropolitan area.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • More than 8-10 years’ relevant experience and sound knowledge of civil engineering (highway engineering and transportation structure)
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English. Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our customers, partners and cross-sectoral teams nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a technical leader, transferring knowledge, determining project requirements, carrying out studies, drafting technical reports and determining construction costs
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and budgets
  • Propose solutions to problems encountered and take all necessary measures to ensure that work progresses according to schedule
  • Prepare change requests for approval and issue modification directives as needed
  • Manage deliverables, budgets, schedules, human resources, approvals of amendments for the projects under its responsibility and the financial follow-up of his files- WIP and AR
  • execution and decides how tooling, materials and related resources should be used
  • Preparing meetings with the customer (alone or accompanied, depending on the level of complexity of the project and the type of customer), following them up and providing feedback.
  • Manage the development and follow-up of the group for the integration of new operational or other systems such as HSE, ISO, Office 365, etc.
