Job Description
Technology Services (TS) is responsible for delivering all enterprise infrastructure, applications and related end user technology services across all Brookfield business groups, comprised of approximately 5,000 users.
Senior Project Manager, Technology Services

The Technology Services Group (TSG) is an internal function and is responsible for ensuring a consistent technology infrastructure and a standard set of tools and applications across our Asset Management business.
Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will be reporting into the Director, Technology Services and will be responsible for project delivery activities for Brookfield business groups to improve and extend services.

Responsibilities

  • Define the scope and objectives of the project in collaboration with senior management. Works with Business/Technology Owners to ensure that the deliverables achieve the expected business result.
  • Set appropriate governance and oversight of all projects.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete a project. Execute the project, refine, and manage performance against the work plan.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures. Ensure that all financial records for the project are up-to-ate.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly).
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on vendor commercials to support project procurement.
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Prepare, track, and provide timely updates to action, issue and risk logs.
  • Drive accountability with cross-functional stakeholders in both Business and Technology.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including appropriate staff in the organization, on the progress of the project.
  • Provides superior client experience and strengthens relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Ensure IT Risk and Compliance due diligence is applied, where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 7-9 years’ experience in IT Project Management execution (experience in all/most knowledge areas: scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement, and integration management).
  • Experience with development live cycle management is an asset.
  • Process Improvement Methodology certification is considered an asset.
  • Vendor Management experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Simple Accounting, Knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); motivation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Large Application or Infrastructure Delivery Projects is Key.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce, FIS DX and/or financial applications (MS Dynamics, Quantum).
  • Experience managing Security or IT Infrastructure projects – e.g., Cloud Infrastructure, Servers/Data Centers, end-point software rollouts.
  • Experience in business Merger and Acquisition activities from a technology perspective
  • Outcome/deliverable-focused orientation with a bias for action; disciplined scope, time, and cost management.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness in dealing with complex or uncertain scenarios.
  • Ability to leverage creativity, imagination, or unconventional methods to solve a problem or achieve a goal.
  • Ability to train/mentor/coach non-project managers in the area of project management and governance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments, considering multiple points of view and managing conflicts.
  • Willingness to travel.
