Danfoss is looking for a Senior Project Manager with a good technical understanding and agile mindset to lead cross functional team developing new solutions from business proposal to market introduction. Our Project Management Office team is part of R&D in Industrial Refrigeration at Danfoss - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC). Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration solutions provide a broad and deep program of valves, incl. valve stations, pressure and liquid level sensors, line components, and gas detection for food-processing plants, warehouses & storage facilities. The engineering disciplines involved counts both mechanical, hardware, software and manufacturing.
You will join our team in Denmark, who has implemented a hybrid agile way of working to accelerate time to market of our new solutions. While each project manager is dedicated to their own projects and work independently, we also enjoy networking with other Project Management Offices in RAC and tapping into the synergies that arise when reflecting on what is working and what is holding us back across new product development projects.
You will lead cross functional teams developing new solutions from business case approval over industrialization and ramp-up to product release for customers and handover to operations. The core teams are mainly working out of Denmark, whereas the extended teams and supporting functions in our supply chain are truly global.

You will be responsible to organize, lead and motivate your project teams by creating clear and attainable project objectives based on business case, you thrive in an environment with a high professional level and you ask questions and challenge the peers around you – including the management teams in RAC.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

You have a bachelor’s degree preferably within a relevant engineering field combined with proven experience in cost down and new product development project management from an industrial environment.

Furthermore, you have/are:

• Confident in change management and team development.
• Experience in creating clear and attainable project objectives based on business cases.
• Practical experience with product development within an industrial environment.
• Able to facilitate teamwork and cross functional mindset with use of agile / scrum approaches.
• Confident in communicating with customers, management and stakeholders about progress, deviations, and deliveries.
• Fluent and comprehensive in English.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage and guide cross-functional teams from business case approval over industrialization and ramp-up to product release for customers and handover to operations.
• Oversee project core teams of 5-10 members, ensuring clear and attainable project objectives based on the business case using scrum/agile methodologies.
• Continuously assess and manage stakeholder relationships, adapting effective communication strategies to meet their needs.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions to overcome challenges and enhance project outcomes.
• Drive the organizational growth journey, ensuring continuous improvement in project execution within hybrid work environments.
