  The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions & Data Security
  About the Business Unit
  Technology Services explores and employs technology to enable the department’s business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and oversees the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
  About the Role
  Establish effective internal and external stakeholder relationships using effective informal and formal methods of communication, including the preparation of complex reports, briefings and presentations to influence senior stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

• Project management qualifications, such as SAFe, PMI Agile-Certified Practitioner and PRINCE2 certification or equivalent experience, are desirable

SOME OF YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Establish effective internal and external stakeholder relationships using effective informal and formal methods of communication, including the preparation of complex reports, briefings and presentations to influence senior stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders on the status of internal and external dependencies. Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting internal or external dependency risks and issues impacting delivery timelines with mitigation strategies
• Undertake cross-functional coordination and the facilitation of collaboration and communication across various internal teams and streams (e.g., both technology stacks and the respective SDLC phases)

  About you

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

Technical Expertise

• Strong demonstrated project management experience relevant to the deliverables and qualifications of this role, having successfully managed technology projects within a large transformation program in an environment of strong project governance.
• Strong experience working with cross functional teams and applying structured project management methods, with a specific focus in Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of ICT technologies, platforms and information system elements (hardware, software, network & communications) and their application to business functions and processes

Qualifications

• Project management qualifications, such as SAFe, PMI Agile-Certified Practitioner and PRINCE2 certification or equivalent experience, are desirable.
