An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join Edwards abatement solutions in Clevedon.
Edwards are the world leader in developing and manufacturing abatement systems for the Semi-conductor industry and a part of the Atlas Copco Group, which affords employees access to potential opportunities worldwide. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Have a recognised Project or Programme Management Qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, Prince2), or equivalent experience (Essential).
- Educated to Degree level in a suitable Technical/Engineering/Science discipline (Essential).
EXPERIENCE:
- Have significant experience of managing complex technical programmes or projects spanning multiple phases/years to time, spec, and cost; have experience in managing projects with software content (Essential).
- Must have demonstrated experience of influencing and managing across global teams (Essential).
- Demonstrated achievements in continuous improvement to systems, processes, or tools (Desirable).
- Previous line management or functional management or coaching experience (Desirable).
SKILLS:
- Must have excellent influencing and negotiation skills at multiple organisational levels (Essential).
- Must be able to analyse complex programme requirements and generate a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as part of high-level programme definition (Essential).
- Experience of project planning tools (such as Microsoft Project), processes and methodologies (Essential).
- Experience of RAID logs (Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions) (Essential).
Responsibilities:
- Plan: Act as the single point of contact responsible for project schedule, cost, risks, and scope; generate a suitable Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that enables level 0, 1, 2 and 3 plans to be developed; track progress and provide updates to the programme team and key stakeholders as required.
- Budget: Own the Projects budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs throughout the project.
- Responsibility Matrix: Ensure a suitable responsibility matrix (RACI) has been generated for each project.
- Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions: Develop a RAID log for the project detailing key risks, actions, issues, and decisions. For all risks ensure a suitable mitigate is in place, developing contingency plans, or adjusting project scope, resources, or the timelines as needed.
- Reporting: Translate Project status, risks, opportunities, and issues into reliable, consistent, and regular reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end project milestones and goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Negotiate with and/or influence senior management to resolve program or project level challenges.
- Change Management: Manage project scope and deliverables through a structured change management process to ensure customer expectations are met.
