The Opportunity:

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a visible leader onsite, driving progress and ensuring adherence to safe work practices during the upgrade of electrical transmission systems within a substation.
  • Coordinate with the client, consultant team, and contractor to manage all project activities, including snagging, scheduling, and engaging key partners.
  • Proactively identify issues and lead efforts to resolve them efficiently, ensuring project timelines and quality are maintained.
  • Implement and monitor key project processes, working closely with the client to identify opportunities for improvements and adjustments.
  • Lead and participate in key project meetings to track progress, address challenges collaboratively, and communicate updates to all stakeholders effectively.
  • Enforce project procedures and ensure compliance with best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience managing electrical transmission upgrades, particularly on substation projects for data centres or similar high-stakes environments.
  • Hold a project management certification (PMP or equivalent) or are actively pursuing one. Support for certification attainment is available.
  • Have a degree in project management, construction, or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Are an excellent communicator, capable of clearly articulating ideas, challenges, and solutions both verbally and in writing.
  • Excel at building relationships with teams and clients through collaboration, shared goals, and a positive, professional attitude.
