Job description
As the Senior Project Manager in the Electromobility field for our large customers in Sweden, you will play a pivotal role in leading comprehensive development projects from pre-studies through to industrialization and successful product launch. Your primary responsibility will be managing cross-functional teams in the areas of software, electronics hardware, and electric propulsion. You will ensure alignment with project prerequisites, managing stakeholder interfaces within the Volvo organization, and reporting directly to the steering committee and decision fora.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:

At least 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on software, electronics hardware, and embedded systems development, particularly within the automotive industry.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects in a global environment, ideally in the automotive sector, with a strong track record of delivery.
Experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams, with excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of automotive products, R&D technology, and embedded system development processes.
Expertise in stakeholder management and strong decision-making capabilities, with high levels of personal integrity, credibility, and creativity.

Responsibilities:

Lead project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring all objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met.
Oversee several functional domains within Electromobility, focusing on control software, embedded systems, and hardware development.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, maintaining resilience and adaptability to keep the project on track.
Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across development teams, inspiring clear communication and action-oriented results.
Regularly communicate project status, progress, and key insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Champion continuous improvement by optimizing processes to drive efficiency and customer value.
