Senior Project Manager (Registration & Revalidation)
The role
Are you looking for an exciting Senior Project Manager role that will give you an opportunity to join an organisation that really makes a difference?

As a Senior Project Manager you will be a leader in a project team within the Registration and Revalidation directorate helping to deliver a portfolio of projects. Our projects are diverse, but they all help us to adapt to change and have effective policies, processes, and systems in place to allow applicants to join and leave our registers and keep their knowledge and skills up to date through revalidation.

You’ll:

  • Co-manage a team of project managers and project officers supporting their development, managing their performance levels and motivation.
  • Set our projects up for success by making sure project information is always timely and accurate and work is allocated to the team effectively and fairly.
  • Establish and adapt our project management practices and inclusive ways of working by listening to the changing needs of the team and the organisation.
  • Support the Head of Projects to develop a compassionate and inclusive culture in an effective project team.

This role will give you the chance to lead and mentor our project managers to help them deliver projects on our portfolio like:

  • Upgrading the technology our contact centre uses.
  • Improving the user experience in our revalidation processes.
  • Implementing policies and processes related to our evidence requirements for joining and leaving the registers.

The person
We are looking for someone who offers an unwavering professionalism and compassion towards all colleagues. Someone who can communicate clearly, with empathy, and remain calm to deal with pressure of managing a large team to deliver a portfolio of projects.

Applicants will be expected to work in the Manchester office about three to four days each month. The option is available to attend more regularly if preferred with the expectation to come into the office more often during the induction period, or to suit the needs of the team. There may be occasional travel required to other GMC offices.
