Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Project Manager in Retail Insurance Australia’s Strategic Execution team, you will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of complex projects or programs across the division with a focus on Risk & Regulation. Your role involves managing and delivering projects effectively while adhering to divisional and group policies, such as the Value Delivery framework and IAG’s internal risk framework. You will be responsible for developing, planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling project activities to meet the needs of key stakeholders, including partners, colleagues, and customers.
Key responsibilities include defining project delivery plans and managing their execution across business stakeholders and technology delivery partners. You will also identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, oversee project financial management, and ensure project delivery governance and reporting are maintained.
This is a permanent full-time role with a strong preference for the candidate to be based in Gadigal Country (Sydney). However, candidates based in Naarm (Melbourne) will also be considered.
To be successful in the role, you’ll ideally have the following:
- Demonstrated experience and track record in leading projects or programs with budgets in the $5m to $10m range, or leading streams within large scale, multi-dimensional, multiyear programs.
- Extensive experience in Program, Project delivery across diverse range of projects e.g. business transformation, application development, cultural change
- Having acumen and experience to handle both business and technical projects. Delivery of complex solutions across business and technology
- Experience in Financial Services, ideally General Insurance
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
