QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience.
  • Current WHMIS certification and fall protection training.
  • Strong understanding of construction, engineering, procurement, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Senior Project Manager The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project administration, from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling to procurement, construction, and final project closeout. They will collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the project team to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design documents.
  • Assist senior management in collaborating with various departments, including estimating, scheduling, procurement, and finance.
  • Develop project bidding strategies and manage the tender process.
  • Oversee the logistics plan and ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
  • Coordinate activities among project team members, including Assistant
  • Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • Review and approve major purchase orders, change orders, and contractor requisitions.
  • Conduct regular meetings with contractors and design teams to track progress and address any issues.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, schedules, and financials, ensuring alignment with the project baseline.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and consistent reporting.
  • Oversee project closeout and secure client sign-off for the completed work.
