About the job
Our Business Unit Decanters delivers projects based on membrane separation technology, to customers in a wide range of industries including food, biotech, and pharma. The E&S group consists of commercial and technical project managers and engineers, 3D designers, and automation engineers. The department works with cost estimation, design, manufacture, and commissioning of membrane filtration systems. As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for contact and dialogue with customers, the Alfa Laval sales, as well as organizing and managing your project team to ensure the success of your projects. Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage projects and contracts from bid phase to final hand-over to customer, delivering on time, on spec. and on budget.
- Review cost estimates and quotations and develop and comply with project budgets and manage variations and change orders.
- Apply best project management practices to lead and steer the team members safely through all stages of the project.
- Perform engineering work as process design, prepare and review P&ID and general arrangement drawings, and complete the list of components including mechanical and electrical components.
- Assemble informational packets for submitting to the Automation Team and sub-suppliers
- Prepare requisitions and place orders for all “buy-out” equipment.
- Develop and manage project time- and resource schedules.
- Communicating with Alfa Laval’s internal customers and external suppliers.
- During pre-commissioning and commissioning, coordinate construction and control activities, and handle customer communication at the job site.
What you know
You are an experienced project manager with a mechanical engineering degree or similar technical background, with the ability to manage contracts in an international environment. Your experience in project management could be technical or commercial. Furthermore, you have:
- Experience within fluid systems, from the food or pharma industry.
- The ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional and international teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of GMP and GEP and relevant industry standards and regulations, e.g., ISO, ASME, sanitary etc.
At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. The job is based in Søborg, Copenhagen. There will be 40-70 travelling days a year globally and to our sites in Denmark.
