We are looking for an exceptional Senior Project Manager - Area Construction Manager to lead one of our key construction areas and make a lasting impact.
What you’ll be doing
As the Area Construction Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of your designated project area, ensuring that all aspects—from initiation to commissioning—are executed efficiently. You will lead a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and act as a change agent, inspiring collaboration and driving performance towards our shared goals.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven track record in project delivery and team management.
- Strong understanding of contracts and safe systems of work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all organizational levels.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to navigate high-pressure situations effectively.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Leadership: Oversee a project area delivery of over £250m, ensuring adherence to time, cost, quality, scope, and risk management.
- Team Development: Build and nurture high-performing teams, providing mentoring and support to empower team members.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, leading initiatives that promote Zero Harm.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Lead risk reviews, maintain the Risk Register, and implement necessary changes to mitigate challenges.
- Digital Advocacy: Promote data-driven decision-making by ensuring reliable digital data is utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
