Senior Project Manager – New Product Development (Energy Storage Systems)

Join us at KK Wind Solutions (KKWS), a leading systems supplier to the renewable energy industry, and be an integral part of our PMO (New Product Development). We’re seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our high impact strategic projects!
You will be driving new product development projects mainly in our Energy Storage Systems (ESS) area. You will lead project teams through our execution model with TPLs (Technical Project Leads) for different workstreams. The Product Manager in this area will be one of the important stakeholders in your project structure as the owner of the business case.
You will drive the project from Concept Development to Product Development, including prototype creation, testing and verification, ensuring seamless execution and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will ensure a smooth handover to the business unit responsible for the final customer solution.
You will drive project planning and execution using Scrum methods, ensuring successful on-time delivery and within budget. Your ability to manage cross-functional, global teams, align project objectives, and ensure seamless collaboration will be key to bringing projects to reality You will report to the Head of PMO, who leads a team of Project Managers, Program Managers, Portfolio Specialist and Process specialist, where sparring is a natural part of the team.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields is required. Master’s degree or Project Management Process certification (e.g. IPMA, PMP or Prince2) is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, specifically in leading new product development projects. Scrum certification is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
• Strong understanding of design and engineering.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration and building strong relationships.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving project goals while overcoming challenges.
• Previous experience in renewable energy is not mandatory but advantageous.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will encompass the following:

• Ensure the complete project assignment in terms of scope, time, quality and costs and steer the project safely through to deliver as promised
• Coach, manage and motivate the team members.
• Collaborate closely with and lead globally located cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, researchers, and Product Management, to define project objectives, scope, and milestone deliverables.
• Develop detailed tailored project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to milestones and deadlines. You outline iterative phases, resource forecasts, allocation, and timeline projections.
• Allocate resources effectively, coordinating tasks and responsibilities among team members to optimize productivity.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Establish clear communication channels within the team and with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and status reports.
• Facilitate regular team meetings, reviews, and presentations to ensure alignment and engagement.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges that may impact project success.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, motivating and empowering team members to excel in their roles.
