Senior Project Manager – Offshore

KBR is currently looking to expand its Project Management Team based in Leatherhead to support upcoming project opportunities across our international business.
Reporting to the Director of Projects the candidate will have the primary responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of one or more projects across pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design or EPCm.
The qualified candidate will have prior experience in delivery of both greenfield and brownfield projects, including new-build structures and integration of field expansions via tie-backs and step-outs to existing offshore facilities. Experience of both floating and fixed structures is desirable.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Assuring safe project execution to the client’s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success.
  • Accountable for delivery of KBR project results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance.
  • Serving as prime point of contact between the client and KBR teams and building strong working relationships across the delivery team.
  • Support in the pursuit of new work (client meetings, presentations and proposal work).
  • Assuring project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the KBR.
  • Management of project risks to avoid delays, cost, performance or reputational damage.
  • Accountable for the accurate reporting of project status and forecasts
  • Identification of resource requirements and co-ordination with resource managers
  • Delivering projects as sole project manager or as part of a larger delivery team
  • Development of project execution plans and delivery of the plan. Keeps the client and KBR advised of project status.
  • Supporting the training, development & mentoring of the next generation of Project delivery professionals.

KEY ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Senior professional with strong personal drive.
  • Excellent leadership and team motivational skills
  • Management experience of developing both internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge and experience of delivery of new-build structures (fixed platform and / or floating).
  • Greenfield and Brownfield Execution experience including integration into existing infrastructure.
  • Excellent awareness of environmental and sustainability issues, particularly with respect to opportunities for decarbonisation (for example power from shore).
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. An additional language would be desirable
  • Promotes collaboration and supports the development of behavioural skills in a team environment.
  • Track record of project delivery in a range of global locations.
  • Facilitator for debottlenecking of technical issues across multiple disciplines.
  • Leading the reporting and tracking of progress including Earned Value reporting and key technical concerns.
  • Promotes continuous improvement and implementation across all project facets.
  • Implements a project team focus on Management of Change both internal and external.
  • Contract administration including change orders / contract amendments / risk management.
  • Communication and influencing skills, to gain the confidence of senior and executive management, as well as Partners and Project Team members at all levels.
  • Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and possession of a Professional Engineering qualification and / or project management qualification (for example PMP or AMP)
