What you’ll be doing
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a Senior Project Manager (Energy) you will have experience in leading the delivery of large complex sub-stations at Netherton and be responsible for the Civils and Building part of the ECI and the construction delivery stage of the projects.
You will have the overall accountability for successful project delivery of the 2 AC Sub stations including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/closeout and interface with our colleagues within Balfour Beatty Power transmission and distribution so you will have experience in working on a joint venture.
You will be a change agent that provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to determining the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints: time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.

THE FOLLOWING TRAITS / QUALIFICATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery in AC/HV Sub Stations
- Buildings / Civils Experience
- NEC experience
- Commissioning experience
- Joint Venture experience working with other contractors/parts of the same business
- Experience in implementing safe systems of work
- Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
- Proficient in commercial/project management communications
- Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation
- Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the team where required
- Commercially astute
- Able to undertake work in high pressure situations
- Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
- A record of a solutions based approach to problem solving
- The ability to see the business vision and inspire this shared vision amongst the team
- CDE and BIM experience
