Description:

DPS is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a team delivering a portfolio of Digital Projects on behalf of NT Health.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for developing feasibility/ implementation planning studies, business
cases and providing quality oversight and leadership of existing projects to a high professional standard aligned with
contemporary practices.
The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring the successful management and delivery of high value,
highly complex business systems projects focussing on solution design, delivery and implementation. This will require
consultation and coordination with all stakeholders and subject matter experts to implement business requirements and
priorities to deliver solutions which achieve agreed business outcomes.

Key Duties / Responsibilities / Deliverables:

  • Manage and lead a team delivering a portfolio of digital projects including project managers, project coordinators,

business analysts and subject matter experts.

  • Develop and quality assure feasibility/implementation planning studies, business cases, and project plans.
  • Ensure that initiatives are effectively assessed through engagement of appropriate stakeholders to complete feasibility /

implementation planning studies and business cases that support strategically aligned solutions to NT Government and

Agency needs.

  • Prepare and oversight project plans and maintain these to ensure that they reflect any changes as the projects progress.
  • Produce accurate, succinct and high quality reports on project progress through project lifecycles.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered within time, quality and resource constraints.
  • Timely completion of assigned tasks with regular reporting on status.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in project management with emphasis on strong project governance, planning and control, risk and

issue management.

  • Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in end to end delivery of significant business system

and complex business change projects.

  • Excellent stakeholder management experience, in particular the ability to negotiate with internal and external

stakeholders across business areas, functions and the organisation with a focus on achieving high quality outcomes.

  • Proven ability to manage end to end commercial engagements with contracted vendors and deliver strong innovative

outcomes in a complex resourcing environment

  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing and leading high performance teams to deliver high quality, customer

focused outcomes.

  • Proven ability to effectively support change management to integrate new ICT capabilities with organisational

transformation needs.

  • High level written and verbal communication.
  • High resilience and self-discipline.
  • Knowledge and utilisation of Prince2 project management methodology is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

Introduction Digital Project Services (DPS) delivers very complex, high value, and / or high-risk ICT programs and multi-
year digital transformation initiatives for core frontline services through an inter-agency collaborative approach. DPS also
provide a range of additional project management to support agency businesses.
In order to deliver the programs and projects, DPS rely extensively on service providers and their capability to source
specialist services to meet the specific demands of the program needs.

multiple stakeholders and tight delivery timeframes.
The successful candidate should display characteristics of self-discipline and resilience with an ability to stay calm under
pressure, be proactive and persistent in the approach to achieving goals.
