What you’ll be doing
You will be joining an outstanding team working on Enterprise Real Estate and Workplace Transformation. This role works with minimal direction on complex projects, providing expert level knowledge of project management principles, standards, and business consulting through project delivery experience. This role will also play a crucial role in supporting all aspects of the contract lifecycle including contract review and negotiation, relationship management and communication, contract administration and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to mitigate risks and optimize contractual agreements.

How you’ll succeed

  • Project Management – Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, costs, deliverable and milestones. Create a resource plan that ensures all stakeholders have a voice on the project. Assess the efficiency of the practices and procedures used by a team and provide guidance that will continuously improve the project plan. Monitor and report on progress against all performance metrics.
  • Risk Management - Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate and/or manage them. Monitor milestones; ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk and achieving the desired benefits.
  • Stakeholder Management – Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, internal partners (procurement, technology, finance etc.) Navigate complexity across a matrix organizational structure. Ensure roles and expectations are defined and understood. Hold partners accountable to deliver against their mandates. Integrate and coordinate across workstreams and accountabilities.
  • Leadership – Lead a team of internal business partners towards the common goal. Advise, consult and facilitate to enable internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Influence to achieve goals. Negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary. Celebrate and recognize success. For those candidates with significant experience, train and mentor colleagues.
  • Communication– Be a strong communicator in a variety of settings to drive desired action. Share ideas, build consensus, and write with impact. Chair meetings, deliver and prepare presentations. Facilitate discussions that advance desired outcomes. Enable senior decision makers, sponsors including senior executives to provide necessary approvals and decisions.
  • Contract Management – Work with Procurement and external consultants to define the procurement strategy. Work with internal business partners to define requirements across various workstreams, establish key performance indicators, evaluation methodology and contract structure.

Who you are

  • You have experience in Project Management. You understand and have leveraged best principles and practices to successfully deliver large projects, from planning to implementation.
  • You have experience managing contracts, with a solid understanding of contract documentation, performance management, governance, and financial and legal principles.
  • You have experience with organizational change management including process mapping, communication and training strategy, service delivery and measurement.
  • You understand real-estate operations and integrated service delivery models. You have experience in a variety of sourcing structures (outsourcing, in-sourcing) and understand the benefits, challenges and implications from an operational and contractual perspective.
  • You have a degree/diploma and experience in a related field of study (Real Estate Management, Construction, Vendor Governance). It’s an asset if you have your PMP designation.
