Description:
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager for Roads and Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of road and infrastructure projects essential to the development of Qiddiya’s innovative entertainment and real estate initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Your leadership will steer cross-functional teams, managing relationships with stakeholders and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field, preferred.
- 9- 12 years of experience in project management, leading complex projects from initiation to closure, within Contracting/Construction environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with relevant project management software and tools.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the health, Safety, and wellbeing culture on the project, and empowers the Team to execute on health/safety/wellbeing initiatives, specifically ‘Stop Work’ authority.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, in line with the Qiddiya Values, at all times.
- Manages, coaches and mentors’ junior staff to successfully contribute to the department deliverables.
- Collaborates with Discipline leads, accountable for development, implementation, monitoring, reporting of project plan, schedules, budget and resource allocation.
- Assures the construction plans for planning the project, including design, constructability, methodology, HSE, and delivery is agreed and communicated to the team and implemented.
- Manages project scope, ensuring changes are properly documented and approved through change control process in Aconex.
- Works closely with the Contractors to successfully drive delivery of scope to time and budget.
- Monitors and reports on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues promptly. Specifically identifying and removing roadblocks for the team to prevent impact to progress.
- Manages stakeholder expectations and provides regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Implements and maintains project management processes, tools, and best practices to ensure standardization and continuous improvement.
- Leads collaboration with cross-functional teams to facilitate the flow of information and coordinate project activities.
- Supports commercial team in contractual requirements – supplying supporting evidence, identifying risk and opportunity
- Inputs into procurement process with constructability reviews and feedback.
- Collaborates with senior management to align projects with the QIC strategic objectives and district-level.
- Performs post-project reviews and retrospectives to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement, contributing to QIC’s continuous learning and organizational development.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance project delivery.
- Oversees the digital document control process in Aconex, providing support and enforcing discipline as needed.
- identifies, documents, coordinates, and continuously monitors the various interactions and dependencies within project to ensure seamless integration, minimize risks, and contribute to the overall success of the project.
- Ensures the alignment between the design requirements and the contractual requirements by reviewing, identifying gaps, providing feedback, and facilitating the necessary resolution.
- Conducts thorough reviews of design documents to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and specifications.
- Identifies and address any gaps or conflicts between the design and contract requirements.
- Participates and leads in the following: project meetings; value engineering sessions; problem resolution discussions; design reviews; spot construction inspections; presentations; periodic checks of project documentation; training sessions for junior employees; evaluations of proposals from consultants and contractors; development of the monthly executive summary for the project; contract and claims negotiations; public outreach events; and other activities as assigned.
