REQUIREMENTS:

  • Related professional certification is desirable.
  • Extensive experience in managing infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Proficient knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant industry regulations, ideally related to substations and HV infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing external contractors and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Flexibility to travel and work across various project sites within the Scottish region.
  • Valid driving license.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in delivery of major infrastructural projects to join our team, specifically the Scottish region. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of and coordination of the various teams, from pre-construction to handover. This role demands an individual who can effectively lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the highest health, safety, and quality guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of infrastructure projects, such as Battery energy Storage, 400kv Sub-Stations, Grid-Routes for the Scottish region.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
  • Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate and liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities, to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and client communications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future business development.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in civil engineering, incorporating relevant knowledge into project planning and execution.
