Description:
About the roleAs our Senior Project Officer within the National Fire Ant Eradication Program, you will: - Apply project management skills and knowledge to establish a schedule of project activities for approval by the Principal Policy Officer or other senior management in the NFAEP policy team.- Clarify project requirements and factors driving and impacting on the project, to support the development of project plans and proposals so the project deliverables can be completed to the required standard in agreed timeframes.- Oversee document quality and document management standards, including the co-ordination of reviewing and updating the NFAEP Standard Operating Procedures.- Monitor and escalate emerging issues in a timely manner, and develop, review and update project register/s including the risk and issues registers.- Develop and manage project communications, such as regular update reports, briefings, presentations, preparing meeting agendas and taking meeting minutes for approval of the Principal Policy Officer or other senior management in the NFAEP policy team.- Undertake and/or co-ordinate other activities and projects as directed.
